The Palace of Versailles is about a 30-min train ride from the Eiffel Tower. It is so grand that I highly recommend spending a full day there.
For me, the palace consists of 3 major parts: the palace and its museum, the gardens, and the estate of Trianon. You don’t need to join a tour to visit Versailles. I purchased the Paris Pass which let me enter many museums and attractions without waiting in line to purchase tickets.
The golden gates of Versailles - The originals were torn down during the French Revolution. These replicas were recreated with 100,000 gold leaves.

The Hall of Mirrors, the most famous room in the Palace - noticed how many tourists were there?
The gardens of Versailles
Have you seen the movie Marie Antoinette directed by Sofia Coppola? Ever since I saw that scene of Marie Antoinette gracefully walking through the gardens. I had made up my mind to visit it one day!
The Versailles gardens are massive. From the gardens to the Trianon Palaces is about a 30-minutes walk. There’s an option to take the Little Train to get there.

Random house I found around the Petit Trianon. I took a photo because I found this house very adorable. If any of you know what this house is, please leave comments below and let me know!
